I grew up in a in a Victorian Painted Lady in a small Colorado town in the 1970’s and 80’s. Behind my house was an alley where trash was put out for weekly pickup, and around the corner was a thrift shop. My hunter-gatherer spirit was nurtured early by proximity to these two locales, because you know the saying: one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Also from a young age, my small-town heart knew it would one day need to try out the big city, and indeed the world. I spent much of my twenties traveling and living abroad before “settling down” in New York City to become a flight attendant. Today, my gypsy spirit still seeks to find. I never tire of exploring and acquiring new/old things in places from boot sales in London, to flea markets in Paris and hippie fairs in South America. Travel plans and career temporarily sidelined by Covid-19, I am currently based back in my Colorado home town where I live with my composer husband, curly headed child, and Snuffleupagus dog.
